It’s been a wild ride for Chris Hemsworth as Thor. From a young God with bleached blonde eyebrows to a reinvigorated powerhouse to a Lebowski-like slob. Over the course of 3 solo films and 4 Avengers films the character has had his high and lows, with the majority of the highs coming as a result of Thor: Ragnarok and the direction director Taika Waititi took the hero in.

Whilst Avengers: Endgame contained definitive endings for multiple heroes, Thor was not one of them. And thankfully, Chris Hemsworth is hoping to return as the God of Thunder in the future. During an interview with Variety, the star said he’d “love to do more” but doesn’t know what the plan is.

Chris Hemsworth
“I’d still love to do more, to be honest. And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go. But I’ll use that in other place and other characters if it’s the end here.”

The last we saw Thor he was preparing to leave Earth with the Guardians of the Galaxy at the climax of Avengers: Endgame. On top of name dropping Asgardians of the Galaxy Thor was also bickering with Star-Lord about who the Captain of the ship is. It’s very likely that the next time we see Chris Hemsworth as Thor will be as one of the cast for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
