Whilst promoting the mind-blowing John Wick: Chapter 3, Keanu Reeves revealed that the superhero he would like to play most is Wolverine.
During an interview with Buzzfeed in which the star plays with puppies (that can be viewed here), Reeves was asked which Marvel or DC character he would like to play most and he answered “I don’t know. When I was a kid I always wanted to play Wolverine. So, Wolverine.”
This isn’t the first time that Reeves has mentioned wanting to play Wolverine. In December 2018 he said he would like to play the character whilst speaking with ScreenGeek and had even said about playing Wolverine (or Batman) years before then.
With Hugh Jackman already departed from the iconic character after Logan and the X-Men rights now with Disney and Marvel Studios, it’s perhaps only a matter of time until the X-Men are introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And when that time comes, if the Studios elect to cast a new Wolverine, could it be Keanu Reeves?
