Russo Brothers Might Return To MCU For Fantastic Four & Doctor Doom

Anthony & Joe have no set plans to direct a further Marvel Studios film and are aiming to branch out with different films starting with the upcoming 21 Bridges. But whilst speaking with Business Insider they revealed what might tempt them to come back to the MCU in the future.

Anthony & Joe Russo:
“Maybe there will be an idea that comes up in the future, but there is none now. It’s just about finding the right story that inspires us. That’s why we get out of bed every day. I love Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four. Doctor Doom was always one of my favourite villains.”
Joe also mentioned that he loves Wolverine but he’s “got to be set aside for a little while.”

All of the above is now a possibility due to Disney’s purchase of Fox which includes the likes of X-Men, Deadpool and the Fantastic Four. Although it has been mentioned by Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige that it will be many years before we see any of the new properties being introduced into the MCU.
