John Krasinski Open To Playing Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four

John Krasinski revealed to Screen Rant that he would love to star in a Fantastic Four movie! Perhaps best known for his role as Jim in The Office (US) and more recently for starring in and directing the incredible A Quiet Place, the actor said he “would love to do something like that” when asked about the potential of playing Mister Fantastic.

“Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing.” John told Screen Rant. “I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that. If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that a left, yeah, I would love to do something like that.”

Krasinski clearly isn’t adverse to playing a superhero role as he was notably in the running to play Captain America before the role was filled by Chris Evans. With the Disney buyout of Fox, which includes the Fantastic Four movie rights, perhaps it’s only a matter of time until we get a Fantastic Four film based in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and maybe Krasinski will be leading the charge. Fans have been casting him as their ideal candidate to play Mister Fantastic for a while, with the below fan edit giving a glimpse into how it might look.

“And listen, I’d love to work with her (Emily Blunt) again so any chance I got would be great.” We could already have the role of the Invisible Woman filled by John’s wife, Emily Blunt, too! But who would you cast as The Human Torch and The Thing?
