With fans and critics already apprehensive about the Venom film set for release this week, Tom Hardy has perhaps added some unwanted fuel to the fire by saying that his favourite parts of the film were cut and did not make the final edit.
ComicsExplained asked Hardy “What was your favourite scene to film?” to which the actor responded “The scenes that aren’t in this movie. There are like 30, 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren’t in this movie. All of them. Mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes, they just never made it in.”
Co-star Riz Ahmed was quick to try and cover for Hardy by saying “if they didn’t make it into the film, they probably weren’t any good.” He also made the point that just because Hardy enjoyed filming the scenes, it doesn’t mean the scenes were good.
Keep an eye out for our review of Venom this Wednesday with the full release coming this Friday, 5th October.
