Jon Hamm, the star of Mad Men, has revealed in an interview during “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” that he would be open to playing Batman! Have a look below at what the actor had to say.
“I’ve had rumors about that since probably season one of Mad Men. I’ve never had a conversation with anybody about it. Literally. And I’ve sat in the rooms with all these guys. Never been offered anything. I think the internet wants what it wants. I can’t control the internet.”
When asked if he would like it (playing the role), Hamm goes on to say “It depends. Script. What the story is. I’m a huge comic book fan, always have been. I’ve read comic books since I was 9 or younger. And I’m pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like them when they’re done well. I saw Black Panther and I was like, this movie’s great. A friend of mine is a show-runner on Legion which I just watched last night, it’s great. There’s a lot of interesting things out there but it depends on the story. It call comes down to the story.”
Graham Besinger asks Hamm if he could see himself playing the role to which Hamm responds “Sure. I’d probably fit the suit. I’d have to work out a lot, which I don’t love. I’m sure there’s an interesting version of that being out there. If they wanted to tap me on the should and ask me to do it, why not? But a lot of people have to sign off on that, obviously. Not just the internet.”
If Ben Affleck leaves the role as the Caped Crusader as numerous rumours suggest, do you think Jon Hamm would be a good replacement?
